The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division Emergency Disaster Services will unveiled its latest addition to its canteen fleet. The event, held at Detroit Fire/Police Super Station (Engine 27 and Precinct 4), included a brief program, light refreshments and tours of the new canteen vehicle.

The Ford Motor Company Fund has generously donated a 2016 Ford Transit cargo van, customized by Technosports, which will allow The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services to better serve southeast Michigan in times of great need.

The EDS volunteer team responds to calls for help from local authorities and provides food and beverages, blankets, clothing, temporary shelter and spiritual guidance and comfort to the victims and families of major disasters as well as police, firefighters and other first response personnel at the emergency scene.
