The Oakland Press writes that the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign is down to its final two days. The Salvation Army wants to go out with a bang and make a final push to raise the $500,000 they are short of reaching their goal of %8.5 million.      

The Salvation Army, in past years, has helped to provide 3,220,937 meals and 687,023 nights of shelter for homeless people. The Salvation Army uses 85 cents of every dollar raised to provide services to people in need,according to news releases..      Donations for the 2012 campaign will be accepted through Thursday. Donations can be made at www.salmich.org.      

WXYZ Channel 7 Detroit reports the Salvation Army serves the hungry and the homeless throughout the year. They provide more than 3 million meals. Give just a little bit more to help the Salvation Army reach their goal of $8.5 million. They help so many people.
