In 1939 The Salvation Army established the first Harbor Light in the world here in Detroit. That was the beginning of what would evolve into the largest drug rehabilitation in the State of Michigan, now called The Eastern Michigan Salvation Army Harbor Light System. There are three primary campus locations; Detroit, Macomb County, and Monroe with a total bed capacity of 750.
If you have experienced addiction first-hand or with a loved one, you know the toll it can take on the mental and physical well-being of its victims. Hope is the answer. By extending a helping hand, the Salvation Army Harbor Light Recovery Program provides a beacon of light to those seeking recovery.
One in 11 Michigan adults is addicted to drugs or alcohol. At The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC), we are dedicated to helping you rebuild your life through a holistic, residential, faith-based program that replaces self-defeating habits with more productive and meaningful activities. With two campuses, a men's center in Detroit and women's facility in Romulus, we have the capacity to help more 400 people simultaneously.
